Hello and welcome to Good Design.
My name is Joseph Maduma. I am a graphic communicator, design thinker and all-round creative. This blog is a collection of my thoughts, things that inspire me, things that make me smile and my own designs. The theme is good design, design that looks good and does good. As a creative I am passionate about how design can be used to improve society and generally make the world a better place to live. The Design Council’s definition of good design is as follows:
“Good design is sustainable design. It results in objects, systems or services that work aesthetically, functionally and commercially, improving people’s lives and making the smallest possible impact on the planet.”
This blog explores all aspects of what constitutes ‘good design’ from an ethical, social, sustainable and aesthetic point of view.
In short it’s the world of design as seen through my eyes, hope you like!
If you are a designer or interested in similar issues then please feel free to leave a comment, subscribe or follow me on . It’s always nice to make a new friend and hopefully together we can make the world a better place one good design at a time!
